Hehehehehe. HubPages got absolutely destroyed by Google, poor guys. I guess its easy to relate to them though. Google has a switch that can destroy a company. Seriously, they have a legit kill button. Remember guys, don’t be evil.

OK so they did some restructuring for the good of the web. Did anybody notice the positive? I fully believe they eliminated more spam than friendly blogging sites. No really I never really used HubPages anyways. Tumblr seems way more useful

Although I understand the need for this it kind of shows some flaws in the Google search. PageRank in some ways seems very arbitrary. The most linked content does not mean it is the best or most relevant. Maybe one day Google+ will completely take over and you will only be returned the content that gets the most +1 clicks… this is the way the internet seems to be headed as social power becomes much more valuable than links.

It’d be nice to know what exactly the problem is, too bad it probably comes down to one person’s opinion. Maybe someone frowns upon using Yahoo! Answers… maybe my picture from the Jersey Shore scared them off… poor site navigation? It’s funny looking at the dozens of site aggregating stuff from my site that are ranking higher than me.

If at any point Google has to start making choices about what is showing up then Google kind of becomes the ultimate censor. OK so it seems like they are doing a pretty good job… as far as we know. Who knows what seedy parts of the web Google is protecting us from. I kind of don’t like this inherit trust about them. Especially knowing that the world is cut off from me! Poor world.
